These cherubs all still reside at Linderhof although not all are in the same places. But moving things around keep things fresh.
Somehow gardens and cherubs go together. What is a garden without a cherub on top of a birdbath or peeking around a garden plant?
Linderhof's garden is no exception and we have several cherubs in our garden. This little guy spends the winter in the breakfast room for I love to have garden ornaments indoors in the winter. He's armless but has character and a sweet face. He presides over the perennial gardens on the side of the house.
This is a small cherub in the birdbath between the drives. He's old, started life as a fountain and his base is cracked. But he brings a smile to my face each morning as I make the breakfast coffee and peer out at him.
What would gardens be without cherubs? The gardens at Linderhof would be a much duller place, that's for sure. It's Sunday so it's time for Sunday Favorites with Chari at Happy to Design. Please join her to see other favorites this Sunday.

The gardens look great! I made Aunt Addie's Shortbread Cookies and just wanted to say "thanks for sharing", they are so good!
Cherubs are darling. I need one for my garden.
I'll have to look for a cherub to tuck away in my garden.
Every garden needs a cherub or at least some sort of Guardian Angel. As always, I enjoy a visit to your garden.
Love the wonderful cherubs and fountains and yard art in your garden. I always think that makes a yard to interesting. Hugs, Marty
Martha, I've been wanting a cherub fountain for some time. My grandmother had one when I was a child and I remember looking for fairies under it

Martha.....I love Cherubs I have quite a few in my garden, but I don't have a fountain. I'm still trying to get my husband to pull out 2 more Cherubs I have in the garage into the garden. Love your garden Thanks for sharing.
I enjoy these fellows as much now as when I first saw them. Your garden is always so lovely Martha. Have a great day. Blessings...Mary

I agree, gardens and cherubs go together perfectly. It's always a treat to visit your garden, Martha. I would love to have a garden cherus, fake or otherwise, looking over a patch of lily of the valley.
